I'm a pickleball newbie. Do you have options for pickleball beginners?

Yes, we offer programming designed to introduce fundamentals and pair beginners together. The first step would be to take a beginner's clinic to introduce you to the game and get you comfortable with playing. You can find a list of clinics on our website.

Do I need to have my own paddle?

No, we have rental paddles and demo paddles available for use. You must have a credit card on file in case paddle is lost, stolen or damaged.

Can I reserve a Pickleball court in advance?

Yes, we require advanced reservations for courts.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy is designed to free up courts and spaces for our community, ensuring everyone has a chance to enjoy them. You can cancel your reservation up to 24 hours before the start time without any charge. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the start time will be charged the full reservation price. Programs and Events: Cancellation policies for programs and events may vary, so please review the event details carefully before signing up. All applicable charges will be applied to your credit card at the time of cancellation.

Where do I park?

We have over 200 free parking spaces directly in front of our building. Additionally, we have 1,000 spaces within 1,000 feet of our entrance.

What surface are the courts?

The outdoor courts are concrete.

What fitness classes do you have?

Classes are offered throughout the year and are listed in our app when available.

What are your hours of operation?

Spring, Summer and Fall we are open from 8am-10pm Sunday-Thursday and 8am-11pm on Friday and Saturday. Facility may close early if there are no reservations past 9pm. Winter hours are 8am-9pm. We are always happy to open early at 7am if a court reservation or lesson is requested.

What are the minimum age requirements?

There are no age restrictions for kids on site, provided they are supervised by an adult at all times. Minimum age for unsupervised access is 13 and a Portside Pickle account with a signed reliability waiver through our app is required.

How do I add a DUPR rating?

Each player will need a DUPR account. You can then go and add matches there.

How many points do you play to in pickleball?

11 points is a full game. If you are confused on the rules, feel free to grab an employee to explain things to you, we are here to help!

How much does it cost to play?

We have different pricing based on activity and time of day. Please check our app for all information.

How does the waitlist work?

When a spot on the waitlist opens up, everyone who is on the waitlist for the session will be notified and the first person to accept the spot will get into the session.

How do we get pickleballs?

Pickleballs are located at each court. We also have them in the pro shop for purchase.

How do I book a Lesson with a Coach?

Go to our Portside Pickle app and select the date and time that fits your schedule and a list of available coaches will populate.

Do you offer gift cards?

We sure do! They are e-cards and can be purchased from our online shop at PortsidePickle.myShopify.com.

Do you offer memberships?

Yes! Please go to our Portside Pickle app to see our options.

Do you have restrooms?

Yes, we have men's and women's restrooms and an ADA restroom.

Do you host pickleball tournaments?

Yes! All of our DUPR-rated tournaments are on pickleballbrackets.com. We also host other DUPR-rated and non-DUPR rated events which are listed in our app. We always post to socials, so be sure to follow us!

Do you have food and beverage?

Yes, we have a full bar that's open all day that is stocked with drinks, snacks and small bites. We also bring in food trucks for larger events.

Do we have to be a member to use courts?

No, anyone is welcome to use our courts as long as terms and conditions and liability waiver is completed.

Do I need a reservation to play?

No, we have open play at certain times. However, we HIGHLY encourage you to check the app for availability prior to driving here as spots will fill up fast.

Can I pause my membership?

No, you must cancel and then you can sign up again if there is availability.

Are pets allowed?

Well-socialized, non-aggressive dogs are more than welcome. They must be on a 6' non-retractable leash and be kept under the owner's control at all times, not jumping or approaching other guests or constantly barking. Dogs are not allowed on the courts. They will need to relieve themselves in the grassy areas out front before entering our facility. Owners are responsible for picking up after their dogs and disposing of it.

Can I coach or host a clinic on site?

We have our own RPO certified coaches that host clinics and lessons. We will also have pros onsite to teach more advanced lessons. If you're interested in being a coach for us, please email us at lovemyjob@portsidepickle.com

Can I cancel my membership?

Yes, memberships can be canceled at anytime, but please remember, you may not get another membership in the future if you decide to join again as we have a limited number.
